The chemical and industrial products face various critical loading and unloading challenges. WSI's range of Chemical loading & unloading arms are specifically engineered to handle the exact nature of each chemical or industrial, liquid or vapor being handled in and out of tank trucks, rail cars and ISO container tanks. Whether loading or unloading tar sands, acetones, molten sulphur or acids, WSI chemical loading and unloading arms are designed to handle each application safely and successfully. Our chemical loading and unloading arms are offered in standard configuration for top loading, bottom loading or unloading of various chemicals and industrial products. However, some aggressive chemical products require specialized knowledge and equipment for a safe, efficient product transfer. Each WSI chemical loading arm is custom engineered to match the exact nature of the product being handled.

LOADING ARMS
Various critical loading and unloading challenges are faced by the chemical and industrial products industry. WSI's range of Chemical bottom loading arms are speci cally engineered to handle the exact nature of each chemical or industrial liquid or vapor being handled in and out of tank trucks, rail cars and ISO container tanks.
Whether bottom loading of tar sands, acetones, molten sulphur or acids, WSI has a speci c solution to handle each application safely and successfully. Standard chemical bottom loading arm congurations are often used for chemical and industrial products; however, all products require specialized knowledge and equipment for a safe, ef cient transfer. Each WSI chemical bottom loading arm for tanker or truck is speci cally engineered to match the exact nature of the product being handled. These are not petroleum loading arms with different elastomers.
- W740 LONG REACH
(UNSUPPORTED) - W840 LONG REACH
(SUPPORTED) - W940-H ‘A’ FRAME
- W940 ‘A’ FRAME

DETAILS
W740 long reach (unsupported) bottom loading arms for chemical and industrial products are ideal for loading/unloading tank trucks and rail cars. The long reach enables greater exibility with miss-spotting or obstructions from other rail car and tank truck equipment. The W740’s long reach and signi cant miss-spot capabilities are due to a swivel boom that extends “unsupported” from the riser on the stand post. This provides an extra plane or rotation and allows the loading arm to track a distance along the bottom side of a rail car, or bottom side and rear of a tank truck.
W740 features a 2-plane Style-70 Outboard swivel joint with handle at the outboard end.
Outboard connections are typically dry-beak coupler, hammer union, cam and groove coupler or lap ange to suit the application. Breakaway couplings and purge systems can be incorporated as required.
AVAILABLE SIZES
2”, 3”, 4” and 6”
AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS
Left Hand or Right Hand
Up Feed or Down Feed
Side Feed
FEATURES
- Materials of construction: Carbon steels, aluminum, 304L, 316L and 904L stainless steel. Exotic alloys, Duplex Stainless Steel, Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, Monel, Inconel and more.
- Seals in Viton™, Nitrile, EPDM, PTFE, Kalrez™ etc. to suit the application
- Typical boom length of 1500mm, with primary and outboard swivel at 1600mm. All dimensions can be changed to suit each application.
- Compression spring, counterweight, pneumatic or hydraulic balance control systems
- Typical range of vertical movement is +50°/-10°

DETAILS

DETAILS
W340 long reach top loading arms for chemical/Industrial products are ideal for loading/unloading multi compartment tank trucks without having to move the vehicle, or for where signi cant miss-spotting is likely, i.e. when connecting with a line of coupled rail car tanks. The W340’s longer reach and signi cant miss-spot capabilities are due to a “swivel boom” that extends “unsupported” from the riser on to which a xed reach loading arm is attached. This provides an extra plane or rotation and allows the loading arm to “track” a considerable distance along the centerline of the tank truck, rail car or ISO tank container.

DETAILS
W440 long reach top loading arms for chemical and industrial products are ideal for loading/unloading multi compartment tank trucks without having to move the vehicle, or for where signi cant miss-spotting is likely and additional equipment is needed on the loading arm. The W440’s longer reach and signi cant miss-spot capabilities are due to a “supported swivel boom” that extends from the riser on the stand post and to which a xed reach loading arm is attached. The supported boom allows for even longer range and/or superior weight carrying capacity than an “unsupported” loading arm. The supported boom provides an extra plane of rotation and allows the loading arm to “track” a considerable distance along the centerline of the tank truck, rail car or ISO tank containe
