
Self-supporting elevating safety cage with or without integral work platform ( oor) to enclose the whole length and wide of the mobile tank, thus allowing the operators more room on top of the tanker tosafely attend to multi compartments without having to move the vehicle (re-spotting). At all times while the operator is on top of the mobile tank (road tanker/railcar) he is surrounded by a safety cage with a 42” (1.07M) minimum handrail.

Powered Operation
All ESS’s are powered by either hydraulic cylinders or electronic motor and gearbox, with automatic anti drop system as standard. Pneumatic operation is available on certain sizes of safety cage. Optional hand operation is available to enable full operation during a power system failure.

DESIGN FEATURES
- Safety cages are available in aluminum, stainless steel or galvanized steel to suit the application
- Complete solid floor with “flip up” panels to access one or more compartments. In aluminum, FRP/GRP
- Full length half floor for safe access to all compartments at once
- No floor, but a contoured cage to match the pro le of the tanker
- Adjustable internal handrails. To limit the operation space on top of the tanker
- Padded lower rail to limit contact with the tanker
- Beacon lights to indicate the system is in operation
OPTIONAL FEATURES
- Powder coating of the safety cage
- Manual hand operated system to raise and lower the cage in case of power failure
- Limit/position switches to indicate the cage is in the optimal position to the top of the tanker
